Those that know me are fully aware of how much I love Doctor Who. Now aged 50, I started watching at the end of the Tom Baker era, with Peter Davidson being my first full Doctor. I’d never found a programme that captured my imagination quite so much! Fast forward to the new Doctor Who era and Matt Smith wins my vote as my favourite of all time, hence my Reddit username.
     In between Nannying and writing, I am happily married and a Mum to 3 adult sons, plus a daughter-in-law.
     I like to bake cakes the way my Mum taught me, and decorate them too. I don’t think it would be as much fun for me if I made cakes professionally, so I only make for friends and family, and only as gifts.
     I love using icing as my canvas and food colouring as my paint, as you can see from my freehand Disney characters on the Minnie Mouse cake. I also enjoy making 3D elements out of icing, like the tiara and cushion, the Queen’s heads and these wedding cake roses.
     My one rule is I never make the same design twice, so be creative!
